What type of metal is used for the watch clasp?

The type of metal used for the clasp of your WoodWatch is 304 stainless steel.

Can my WoodWatch be engraved with a custom message or logo?

Yes! Each WoodWatch can be engraved with a personal message of up to 60 characters on the backplate of the watch and be done during your order. Please note we currently do not have the option to engrave Emoji's on our Eyewear frames, except for those listed in our engraving tool.

We currently do not offer the option to engrave logos on the WoodWatch itself, but a message of up to 450 characters or a logo can be engraved on the custom pinewood gift box, available here.

Are the watches made of real wood?

Yes, they are. The wood we use originates from all over the world and is selected in several criteria. Our top priority is to be sustainable and to deliver high grade products to our customers.

Who designed the movement of my new watch?

We use movements of the highly appreciated Citizen Miyota.

Are the watches waterproof?

No, the watches are not completely waterproof. However, they are splash proof, so some light rain will not hurt your watch. Do not wear your WoodWatch in the shower or when going for a swim because the warranty does not cover damage from water or any other liquid.

Will the watch fit me?

Yes! The size of your watch can be adjusted by removing some links from the strap. This is easily done by a jeweler, a watchmaker, or yourself. Your delivery will include several screwdrivers that you can use to easily adjust the strap yourself.

Can the colors differ from the photos?

As all of our watches are made of natural wood, each watch has its own unique pattern and will therefore differ slightly from the pictures. This makes each piece truly unique.

What type of battery is used for my WoodWatch?

All our timepieces, except for our SOLAR and AUTOMATIC collections, come with a recyclable, replaceable SONY SR621SW battery. You can easily replace the battery of your WoodWatch at home. This mercury- and lead-free battery is leak resistant, for optimal durability and minimum effect on the environment, even after disposal. Please make sure to always recycle your batteries at the end of their lifespan.

How do I maintain and care for my WoodWatch?

- To make sure your wooden watch lives a long, interesting life, we’ve developed the WoodWatch Wax, made from purely natural materials. Simply apply the wax and give your watch a rub now and then. Get it here.
- Do not shower or swim with your WoodWatch.
- Keep it safe for storage in our custom pinewood box, available here.

How do I recycle my WoodWatch?

One of the most responsible things we can do as a company is to create high-quality timepieces that last for years. As part of our mission to minimize our environmental impact, we want to make it easy to extend the life of your WoodWatch or recycle it when the time finally comes.

Eyewear

Is it possible to adjust my WoodWatch glasses with prescription lenses?

We currently do not offer this service, but a professional optician can replace the existing lenses of your WoodWatch Eyewear with fitted prescription lenses. Please contact your local optician for more information.

Do you offer gradient lenses for WoodWatch Sunglasses?

Yes, our REVELER, BROOKLYN, SOHO, and ELLIPSE collections all rock stylish gradient blue lenses. Find them here.

Are the lenses of my WoodWatch Eyewear replaceable?

Yes, you can have the lenses of your WoodWatch Eyewear replaced at a professional optician. Please contact your local optician for more information.

Do my glasses come with a case?

All WoodWatch sunglasses and BlueBlock glasses come in an eco-friendly cork case for safe storage during your adventures. Additonally, you can order one of our stylish eyewear cords for ultimate protection here.

Besides our watches, eyewear, and pinewood gift box, we currently do not offer the option to engrave other accessories.

How long does it take to engrave my WoodWatch or WoodWatch Eyewear?

Please note that when you order a product with a custom engraving, we need some extra time to prepare it for shipment. This usually takes 2 business days.

I ordered a product but made a mistake in the engraving. What should I do?

Before ordering, please double check your spelling and capitalization as our high-precision laser will engrave exactly what you typed during the order process! If you notice a mistake after placing your order, contact us as soon as possible here.

Can I return a product with an engraving?

Products that are personalized with an engraving have a separate return policy. Returning an engraved product is possible within 30 days from the day of receipt. After informing us about your return decision, you have 14 days to return the product. Please note that the cost of the engraving cannot be refunded.

Shipping costs are at the responsibility of the customer unless in the case of a manufacturing error or a product defect. In case you wish to exchange your product and add an engraving to the new product, the costs of the engraving need to be paid in full.

What is your return policy?

Can I return a product with an engraving?

Products that are personalized with an engraving have a separate return policy. Returning an engraved product is possible within 30 days from the day of receipt. After informing us about your return decision, you have 14 days to return the product. Please note that the cost of the engraving cannot be refunded.

Shipping costs are at the responsibility of the customer unless in the case of a manufacturing error or a product defect. In case you wish to exchange your product and add an engraving to the new product, the costs of the engraving need to be paid in full.

How long will the shipping of my wooden watch or other product from WoodWatch take?

Please see our Shipping & Returns page for a detailed overview of the shipping times per country. If the delivery time of a specific product varies, then we will show that on the specific product page. Please note engravements take 1 extra processing day before the order can be shipped out.

Which countries do you ship to?

Our watches are sent to all countries in the world. For all countries we offer a free DHL Global Mail shipping option. DHL Global Mail handles the shipping process until the parcel reaches the country of destination. After that, the parcel will be handed over to your local post services to deliver it to your address. And for selected countries we have a premium DHL Express shipping option that is faster.

Why haven’t I received my order yet?

The holiday season goes paired with a peak volume in shipments. Our carriers are doing their utmost to deliver your order on time but sometimes, delays are inevitable. Be sure to check your tracking link regularly for updates. Find more information about the estimated delivery dates here.

What are the shipping rates?

We have a free worldwide shipping option with DHL Economy. For selected countries we offer a premium service called DHL Shipping, which has a next-day delivery for orders within Europe that are ordered on business days before 17:00 CEST, and 2-4 days of delivery for the rest of the world. The cost of this premium shipping service varies between €9 - €20. The cost for your selected country appears on the checkout.

What are the return costs?

Payment Information

Is VAT included in the prices shown?

The prices shown on our website include any VAT at the prevailing rate for which we are responsible as the seller. Please note that the recipient of any products shipped outside the EU may also have to pay import duty or other taxes, or fees applied by customs or authorities in the country of receipt. If you are unsure about which charges might apply to your order, please contact your local tax or customs authorities.

What payments methods do you offer?

We offer the following payment methods: iDeal, credit card, PayPal, Bancontact/Mister Cash, Sofort, Giropay, Carte Bleue, Bitcoin, Klarna Invoice and bank transfers. Below you will find a detailed explanation of some the most used payment methods.

Credit card (Visa, Mastercard and Maestro)
You can enter your credit card information through our secure SSL connection and we will make sure your payment is processed safely.

iDeal
This payment method is offered to customers with a Dutch bank account. iDeal allows you to process the payment within your own online banking system during the ordering process. In the familiar online environment of your bank, simply follow the usual security instructions during the payment process.

PayPal
During the PayPal transaction, the payment will be securely debited from your PayPal account within your familiar online PayPal environment.

Do you offer repairs?

Each WoodWatch product has undergone multiple tests to ensure durability and quality. From the date of delivery, your WoodWatch is warranted for two years (please note products purchased before 15.08.2019 have a one-year warranty period). Within this period, your WoodWatch can be eligible for repairs as outlined in our terms & conditions.

What should I do if I have feedback or a complaint?

If you have feedback or a complaint about your product or our service, we kindly ask you to contact us here. Our customer service team will review your message and try to resolve any issues to everyone's satisfaction. Please do not forget to state your order number if you have one.

Once we have received your complaint, you'll receive a confirmation. We try to respond to all complaints within 3 working days, or inform you if we need more time to investigate the situation.

What is the warranty offered on WoodWatch products?

Each WoodWatch product is made with an eye on quality, including the materials that are used to make your product. Before a product is shipped, it has undergone multiple tests to ensure the highest possible quality and workmanship. From the date of delivery, the product is warranted for a period of no longer than two years.

This limited warranty is only valid if the product is used in accordance with the care and operating instructions. Any damage due to abnormal usage and wear and tear, are not covered by this warranty. Moreover, WoodWatch is not responsible for any loss or damage connected to the use of its products, nor for the life of the battery. The battery of a WoodWatch is easily replaceable at home.

If you would like to file a warranty claim, please open a new chat with our support team by clicking at the bottom of your screen. From there, you can contact us by live chat, Whatsapp, or email. If your warranty claim is approved we will repair or replace the product accordingly. Return shipment costs will be reimbursed in the following manner:

  • For customers within Europe, the cost of return shipment is covered by WoodWatch.
  • For customers outside of Europe, the cost return shipment is covered by us up to €15,- if the defect was reported to us within 90 days of your initial order. For the reimbursement of your return shipment costs, we need a copy of the receipt of shipment.
